Fuelling Connections – Truro and Falmouth

Sarah Newton MP will be attending the official launch of “Fuelling Connections – Truro Falmouth” Facebook page.

On February 17th, Sarah Newton MP will be joining local volunteers and the Mayor of Truro in Truro, to officially launch the Facebook page “Fuelling Connections – Truro and Falmouth”.

Meeting in Truro, Sarah will help in handing out leaflets to members of the public, followed by a photo opportunity to promote the newly launched Facebook page.

Instigated by Hubbub UK, Fuelling Connections is a free to use resource that utilises the power of Facebook to help reach households in Truro and Falmouth, who are struggling with issues such as fuel poverty, debt repayments, or just would like some handy tips on how to save money.

Truro and Falmouth is one of three constituencies across the country which trialling the use of Facebook for this purpose. Along with households in Don Valley and Tower Hamlets, London, residents in Truro and Falmouth will be able to make use of Fuelling Connections as the go to place for information on what and events are being held locally to assist you in saving money on your energy bills, what grants you can apply for to help you with your high energy costs, and how you can make your property damp or mould free.

By providing this information, households in Truro and Falmouth will be provided with a wealth of information on the great work that local organisations, charities and individuals perform in supporting some of the most vulnerable households in our communities.
