Truro and Falmouth

The Truro and Falmouth parliamentary constituency stretches from Cornwall's south coast to its north, with the Duchy's capital city Truro at its centre.

Other major settlements include the port towns of Falmouth and Penryn in the south and the Celtic Christian centre of Perranporth in the north. A network of ancient villages and hamlets fill the hinterland of the constituency, linked together by an extensive network of historic Cornish lanes and field systems, some of which date back to the Iron Age.

With a thriving rural economy, this part of Cornwall is well-known for its coastline, rolling landscape and emerging growth industries, including marine renewables, the creative arts and food and drink production.
